Aastha Development Trust was formed with a goal to have people’s involvement. So, that every program becomes their program and hence the vital aspect of sustainability is taken care of. Astha’s policy is based on people’s participation and have need based programs . It is an organization which will strive hard to provide facilities and guidance to poor Sc/ST/BC students, woman and deserving ones in the society.

Astha Development Trust has made its move to use IT as a tool for development of society and create good software personnel from the underdeveloped areas. It is this initiative that made Aastha to choose underdeveloped distt of Alwar and rural areas of Gandhinager and Ahmedabad distt.

Our Promoter​

R.C Garg

R.C Garg has more than 40 years of experience in the field of teaching, R & D in Public undertaking, Operation and Maintenance of satellite communication, Earth station equipments and Software Development. After retiring from a well-accomplished career in the post of a Director of Advanced Data Processing Research Institute under the Department of Space, He desired to do social service through the use of IT in his native place Alwar in Rajasthan and rural area of Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad dist.

He began his career as a Development Engineer in Transmission Research Department of Indian Telephone Industries, Bangalore (1965-69), and joined the Indian Space Research Organization in 1969 at Space Application Centre, Ahmedabad.

During his tenure as Head at Ahmedabad Earth Station, General Manager, and Group Director in ISRO, he developed and designed state-of-the-art Communication and Electronics equipments. He was instrumental in transferring the know-how of a large number of communication equipments to indigenous industries. He was a member of a team, which has built the first Commercial Earth Station at Arvi. As Operations Head, he participated in the Satellite Instructional Television Experiment, the first of its kind in the world. He has built electronic systems for the first Master Control Facility in the country, which has been controlling the INSAT series of satellites for more than two decades. He also built BSS uplink for DOT, which made the beginning of satellite TV broadcasting in the country. Built the first INSAT Satellite Search and Rescue Processor. Built the C-band Synthetic Aperture Radar, the first of its kind in the country. In the field of corporate experience, he served as a Board member of SED-BEL (Bharat Electronics Limited), Bangalore for a period of six years.

He is a member of various professional bodies in the country. He has widely traveled abroad on the invitation of Foreign Governments and the UN to present papers/talks in international conferences. Since April 1995 till Jun 2002 worked as Director, Advanced Data Processing Research Institute (ADRIN), Secunderabad, Department of Space, which is engaged in the development of state-of-the-art software in the field of Digital Image Processing and Data Security. He also worked as an adjunct professor for 2 years in the Centre for GIS Application Anna University, Chennai.

He has obtained the M. Sc. (Physics) degree from Rajasthan University and Ph.D. (Physics) from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. He has contributed more than 50 papers in National and International magazines. He is widely traveled and is an expert in the field of Remote Sensing
